Product reveal: the Cornell Dubilier 940C Series capacitor

The Cornell Dubilier 940C Series capacitor is a high dV/dt metallized polypropylene film capacitor designed for pulse load applications such as snubber circuits.

It is an axial leaded device featuring low inductance performance, high peak current carrying capability and self-healing properties.

It is wrapped in polyester tape and filled with epoxy. Available terminations are tinned copper wire, insulated stranded wire or tinned lugs.

Capacitance range is 0.01µF to 4.7µF, working voltage range is 600Vdc to 3,000Vdc (275Vac to 500Vac, 60Hz), and capacitance tolerances are ±10% (standard) and ±5% (optional).
